Supporting families and schools through a nervous system lens

A Different Kind of Support for Families and Schools

Most educational advocacy focuses only on the system. Most parenting support focuses only on the child. Rooted Minds brings both together, helping families understand their child's nervous system while partnering with the schools and educators who support them.

About Me:
Why I Created Rooted Minds

Most parents are doing more right than they realize. But when a child is struggling with anxiety, regulation, or behaviors that schools don't always understand, it can feel overwhelming fast.

Aut Inveniam Viam Aut Faciam ... I will either find a way or make one.

That's been my guiding belief for as long as I can remember. I grew up around education, started in Speech Pathology and Audiology, earned my Master's in Special Education, and spent years inside schools as a paraeducator, education specialist, and administrator. Those years gave me a deep understanding of the system and the real challenges families face trying to navigate it.

I created Rooted Minds to bridge those worlds. Through coaching, school advocacy, professional development, and regulation-focused guidance, I help families and educators understand behavior and work together so every child feels understood at home and at school.

Where regulation began.

Rooted Minds Project is dedicated to my Papa, Jerry Harpman, whose love and example shaped the way I see the world. From him I learned to take the time to understand others, to speak the truth with courage, and to stand up for people when it matters most.
